Wrangle

Tundra and alpine systems are not the first images that come to mind when most people think about Africa. However, two areas of the continent have mountain areas that are both high enough in elevation and consistently cold enough to sustain tundra-type vegetation. These two areas are the alpine system found in the Drakensberg Mountains of Lesotho and the tropical highlands of east central Africa, including the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro.
