Australia and New Zealand Acacia Shrubland

The Acacia shrublands are located throughout west-central Australia in the states of Northern Territory, Western Australia and South Australia. They exist in the Gibson Desert, Great Victoria Desert, Central Ranges and Carnarvon Basin. These regions are arid, typically receiving less than 250 mm (10 in) and have typically gravelly to sandy type soils. Vegetation is composed of woody species, such as myalls, mulgas and desert oak (Acacia spp), and a variety of grass species.
